Hopefully, people have been brushing up on their non-English. This week’s Rock Band Weekly brings us the songs packaged with the European release of Rock Band. We’ve known for a while these tracks were coming as DLC, and Harmonix has seen fit to do it the week of Rock Band’s European release.
Also, all DLC available in North America should be available in Europe beginning May 20.

Individual songs

  • “Beetlebum” - Blur (Cover, 160 MS Points / $2)
  • “Hier Kommt Alex” - Die Toten Hosen (160 MS Points / $2)
  • “Countdown to Insanity” - H-BlockX (160 MS Points / $2)
  • “Perfekte Welle” - Juli (160 MS Points / $2)
  • “Manu Chao” - Les Wampas (160 MS Points / $2)
  • “Hysteria” - Muse (160 MS Points / $2)
  • “Rock N Roll Star” - Oasis (160 MS Points / $2)
  • “New Wave” - Pleymo (160 MS Points / $2)
  • “Monsoon” - Tokio Hotel (160 MS Points / $2)

Le sigh, videos for all of next week’s tracks can be found after the break. The DLC will be available next Tuesday and Thursday for Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively.

news-sm Xbox Live Arcade Game Size Limit Raised To 350MBXbox Live Arcade Game Size Limit Raised To 350MB

Tagged Under : ,

Xbox Live Arcade’s worldwide games portfolio planner David Edery revealed that the size limit imposed upon XBLA titles has been raised from 150MB to 350MB, according to a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz.

Q: And you’re upping the size of Xbox Live Arcade games as well to 350 megabytes?

David Edery:

Yeah, it’s a steady progress. We’ve been listening to our partners,
listening to our customers to try and get a feel for what’s right. We
don’t want the size limit to hit the roof because we think there’s some
value in promoting small pick and play experiences that don’t cost USD
20 million, it’s good for the ecosystem.

Obviously, this should please those developers looking for more space for their titles, but those gamers stuck with the Xbox 360’s default 20GB hard drive might not be so pleased about the $180 hard drive upgrade they may need very soon.

With less than a week to go before Assault Heroes 2 arrives on Xbox Live Arcade (it’s scheduled to drop on May 14), Sierra is ramping up the publicity, releasing a new two part trailer featuring some of the game’s massive bosses. There seems to be an obsession with throwing mechanized versions of various fauna at players this time around, as the bosses featured in the video are the Mecha Gorilla, Mech Scorpion, Mecha Killer Orca (really?), Mecha Snake, Mecha Quadruped, and Mecha Demolition (guess they ran out of animals with that last one). Suffice it to say that the bosses are appropriately huge and they seem to be capable of dealing death quite adequately. We approve. Find the second trailer after the break.
