Rumortoid: Suikoden may get the PlayStation Classics PS1 treatment

Of all of the libraries of older games I want to dig into for re-release, Konami’s is probably the most tempting. They already gave us Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as a PlayStation Classic, and I still play it from time to time on my PSP or PS3.
Siliconera says that the PlayStation classic Suikoden may also see a re-release as a PlayStation Classic. The ESRB re-rated Suikoden as a PlayStation 3 / PSP title, which points to the possiblity of a new downloadable title. Of course, this could mean nothing at all, as there is no confirmation fo a release yet. But then I’d get to kick the ass of Siliconera’s Spencer for toying with my emotions.
For those that don’t remember, Suikoden was a damned fine RPG (introduction movie above). It had great battle mechanics, an incredible musical score, and a cast of over 100 characters. It spawned several sequels, ranging from great to blah, but this one and its sequel, Suikoden II, were the most treasured. And they both fetch a pretty penny among collectors these days.
Come on, Konami. Let’s see this release!
